Avatar just received a bunch of Oscar nominations this week, but that new buzz worthy news didn't help the film enough to keep it at the number one spot. After seven weeks spent at the number one spot, Avatar has finally fallen to second place, ending up right behind the new film Dear John. I guess people like sappy love stories revolving around people being sent off to war...or maybe they're just hoping for a sequel to The Notebook (same author).
