First Trailer For 'The Green Hornet'

Jennifer Love Hewitt Wants To Be 'Wonder Woman'

Jennifer Love Hewitt certainly has the - ahem - chest to play Wonder Woman. The real question is if she has the acting chops and physicality to play the role. Also, I haven't heard much about the possibility of a Wonder Woman film since Joss Whedon was dumped from the project, so where is this desire and news coming from?

"I'm fighting so hard," she told MSN. "I think Warner Brothers is getting ready to make Wonder Woman, and I really want to play Wonder Woman. I am obsessed with Wonder Woman."

"I want to play Wonder Woman really badly," she told MTV last year, and then listed the reasons she was the right choice. "Curvaceous. Gold bracelets! Look at these wrists—tell me gold bracelets would not look good! And I love little tiaras, and Wonder Woman got to wear one of those. I'm very athletic."

New 'Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions' Trailer Reveals Spider-Man 2099

After it was revealed that one of the four dimensions in the upcoming game Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions was the noir universe, I pretty much assumed - as did probably every other comic fan out there - that one of the remaining two universes to be revealed would be that of Spider-Man 2099. Sure enough that day has come and now you can checkout what the 2099 universe looks like when rendered as a videogame. Pssst - it looks pretty damn cool if you ask me. Haven't been this excited about a Spider-Man game in a while.

Jeremy Renner Could Be Playing Hawkeye In 'Avengers' Movie

Jeremy Renner - who was excellent in The Hurt Locker - is rumored to be in the running to play Clint Barton (aka Hawkeye) in the upcoming Avengers movie. Personally, I think he'd be a great Hawkeye. It's still just a rumor that he's in final negotiations, so don't believe anything until it's officially announced by Marvel.

Frank Miller Reveals '300' Prequel 'Xerxes'

It's been talked about before, but now we have definitive word on Frank Miller's 300 follow-up - Xerxes. Many might remember Xerxes (awesome artwork of him at the link provided) from the original 300, but he's about to be fleshed out like never before.

"Yes, I suppose it will be seen as provocative, but really to me he is such a pivotal character and in this story I get to explain him so much more fully," Miller said. "I do my best to crawl inside his head rather than have him be this iconic force that simply commands this huge army. There are many scenes with him alone or just with his people. There's an extended scene set in Persepolis, for instance, where he takes power and there are several scenes where he is going through his transitions and he's shown speaking to his mother and his wife and with all of that he becomes that much more interesting as a character."

"The story will be the same heft as '300' but it cover a much, much greater span of time -- it's 10 years, not three days," Miller said. "This is a more complex story. The story is so much larger. The Spartans in '300' were being enclosed by the page as the world got smaller. This story has truly vast subjects. The Athenian naval fleet, for instance, is a massive artistic undertaking and it dwarfed by the Persian fleet, which is also shown in this story. The story has elements of espionage, too, and it's a sweeping tale with gods and warriors."

"The time frame begins 10 years before '300' and the story starts with the Battle of Marathon, which was killer to draw, by the way, even if it was a lot of work," Miller said. "The lead character is Themistocles, who became warlord of Greece and built their navy. The story is very different than '300' in that it involves Xerxes search for godhood. The existence of gods are presupposed in this story and the idea is that he well on his way to godhood by the end of the story."

Miller added: "With Themistocles I have a character who is almost the dead opposite of Leonidas in that Themistocles was a lying, conniving, brilliant, heroic figure. He was nicknamed 'The Subtle Serpent' and he always manages to do the exact right things that will result in him benefiting greatly."

Concept Art Reveals New 'Captain America' Movie Look

Some concept art was recently revealed, which was supposedly of the new look that Captain America would be sporting in the upcoming movie. Apparently it's now confirmed that the images over at Aint It Cool News are indeed the real deal and what Steve Rogers' costume will look like.

I think the outfit looks great from the neck down, but there's something about that Blue Man Group bald dome head that I don't like. The head needs a little something. Give the man his wings!

Sneak Peek of 'The Walking Dead' AMC Series

Could The Next 'Spider-Man' Be Black?

With Spider-Man getting the reboot treatment, the biggest question so far is who will the studio get to play Peter Parker. After an article questioning why Peter must necessarily be a white guy, Donald Glover - probably most known now for his work on Community (excellent work at that) - has started an Internet campaign to get him an audition for the role. He doesn't want the job unfairly...he just wants a shot.

Could Spider-Man be a black guy? It's a tough question, but I really enjoy Glover on Community, and he has that kind of skinny boy nerdy quality of the early Peter Parker days, so he might just be a great choice.

'Green Lantern' Getting An Animated Series

I never really cared for Green Lantern before, but after following the character in the Brightest Day event, I'm now hooked on everything Green Lantern. Besides a feature film being in the works, there is news today that there's going to be a Green Lantern animated series debuting on the Cartoon Network around the same time.

On a related note, the Green Lantern animated film was pretty good, so definitely check that out if you haven't yet.

'Kick-Ass' Screenwriter To Tackle 'X-Men: First Class' Script

Jane Goldman - the screenwriter of the recent Kick-Ass big-screen adaptation - has just been tapped to write the script for the next X-Men film entitled X-Men: First Class.

'Iron Man 3' Will Have Mandarin

Comic book based movies "usually" lead with their most famous villain, but when it came to the first Iron Man film that wasn't the case at all. The Mandarin - a stereotypical Asian man with ten rings made of ten different powers - wasn't included, but he was referenced in the Ten Rings terrorist group. The reason he wasn't used was because of how hard it would be to adapt that magic into believability. Director Jon Favreau is sure that Mandarin will be in Iron Man 3, and partly because he thinks the Thor and Avengers movies will introduce magic in such a way that Mandarin will be believable in a third film. Here is the interview Favreau gave on the matter:

    New 'Inception' Trailer

'Iron Man 2' Number One At The Box Office = Nobody Surprised

Iron Man 2 was number one over the weekend, taking in an estimated $133.6 million. Of course, who didn't think it would be number one? I wish there was more to the story than just that, but nope, that's all we've got. Do be sure to read our first Iron Man 2 trailer in a little.

'Captain America' Casts Arnim Zola Role?

It was just announced earlier this week that actor Hugo Weaving would be playing Captain America's villain Red Skull, but now comes word that another actor - Toby Jones - has apparently also been cast to play a Captain America villain...namely Arnim Zola.

"In comics lore, Zola was a genetic engineer who created clones and various monstrosities for Hitler. He also captured his own mental self, inserting it into a robot, and survived the war."

Will there be two major villains or will Zola be a minor villain? It remains to be seen.
